Privacy
Last updated: 21 October 2026
This site lets viewers request songs for a live stream. It's operated by Queuebox ("we"); the streamer runs their request page on it. Here is exactly what information the site uses, what it's used for, and which services are involved. Short version: no account is needed, we store as little as possible, we never see your payment details, nothing is used for advertising, and no profile of you is ever built.
What we collect, and why
When you use our feedback form (when available) we store your message, its type, the time, and any contact details you choose to provide. If you include the page location, we store its path without query strings or fragments. Feedback is private to Queuebox platform operators and is also sent to our team through Resend. We use it to investigate problems, consider suggestions and reply if you provided contact details. A salted IP hash is used for an hourly submission limit; your raw IP is not stored with feedback. You can request removal through the privacy contact below.
If you share feedback in Discord, you leave Queuebox. Community messages may be visible to other members. Please keep private information out of those posts.
When you request a song you type a display name of your choice — it can be anything, including a pseudonym. We record that name, the song, the playtime you chose, the amount paid (if any), the PayPal order reference, and the time. This is kept so the streamer can reconcile donations, answer disputes, and restore the queue if it drops.
When you add to the gift pot (a shared balance other viewers can request songs from) we record the same things: your chosen display name, the amount, the PayPal order reference, and the time.
Search terms you type are sent to the music services enabled by the streamer to find songs. They are cached briefly for performance and are not linked to you or kept.
Your IP addressis processed like on any website (briefly, in the host's request logs). For free requests we additionally keep a salted, one-way hash of it for a short time to limit how often one person can request — the address itself is never stored by us.
Site statistics and errors. We count page visits in aggregate — totals like "how many people viewed the request page today", never a record of what any individual did. The counting works without cookies and without identifiers, so no profile of you exists to build on. Separately, if the site itself hits an error, a technical report of what went wrong in the code is recorded so we can fix it; these reports are configured to contain no IP address, no display names, no search terms, and no payment details.
We collect nothing else: no account, no email address, no analytics profile, no advertising identifiers.
What other viewers can see
The display name you typed is shown publicly next to the songs you request — in the "up next" queue, the "now playing" panel, and the recent-requests list. Tick "Hide my display name" when requesting to appear as "Anonymous" on those public lists instead. The streamer still sees the name you entered (needed for payment records and moderation), so this hides it from other viewers, not from the site. Payment amounts are not shown to other viewers either way.
A public top supporters board shows the display names of the biggest contributors, ranked by total contributed, along with how many songs they've requested — the amounts themselves are never shown. Gift pot contributions can count toward this ranking too (the streamer chooses). Requests made with "Hide my display name" and anonymous gifts are left off the board entirely. The pot's current balance is public, but never who it came from.
Payments
Payments are handled entirely by PayPal. Your card number, bank details, and PayPal login never touch this site. We receive payment status and order references, and verify your PayPal payer account ID before capture to enforce the streamer's purchase bans. A ban stores a stream-specific keyed fingerprint of that ID, its last four characters, and an optional private moderation note until the streamer or a platform admin removes it. Only the stream owner and platform admins can manage this list; moderators and streamer-appointed admins cannot access it. PayPal processes your data under its own privacy policy. The money goes directly to the streamer's PayPal account, and the display name you entered and the requested song appear on their PayPal receipt so they know what the payment was for.
Services working in the background
Queuebox runs the site on the following services; each processes data only for the purpose shown:
- Music services — song search and queueing through the sources enabled by the streamer. Your own music accounts are never involved.
- PayPal — payment processing.
- Twitch or Kick — sign-in for stream owners, staff, and platform operators. We use your platform user ID, display name, channel name when available, and profile picture to identify your account and control access. We do not retain your email or login access tokens. Viewers never sign in.
- Vercel — hosts the site. Like any web host, its servers briefly process your IP address in request logs. It also provides the aggregate, cookieless visit counts described above.
- Upstash — stores the request history and app settings described above.
- Resend delivers internal operational emails, including feedback notifications to our team.
- Sentry — error monitoring. When something on the site breaks, Sentry receives a technical report of what failed and where in the code. It is configured not to store IP addresses, and reports never include your display name, searches, or payment details.
We never sell or share data beyond this.
Cookies
Viewers get no cookies at all. Your display name and the hide-name preference are remembered in your own browser's local storage, purely for convenience — they never leave your device until you make a request. The only cookie this site sets is an essential sign-in cookie for the streamer and moderators using the admin panel. There are no tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies — the visit counting described above works without them — so there is no cookie banner to click.
How long we keep things
- Queue state(what's been requested but not played) — about a day.
- Hashed rate-limit entries — they live in the short rolling recent-requests list and roll off as new requests come in.
- Request history— kept until the streamer deletes it, since it's the record of donations received.
- Staff sign-in cookie — up to 7 days, or until they sign out.
Your choices and rights
Requesting songs is entirely optional, no account is ever created, and the display name is yours to choose — using a pseudonym is fine.
You can ask for a copy of the request records tied to the display name you used, ask for them to be corrected, or ask for them to be deleted (records of completed payments may need to be retained where accounting rules require it). Email privacy@queuebox.gg for any of these — Queuebox operates the site and holds the data, so data requests are handled by us, not the streamer. That address is also the right one for any other privacy or security concern.
Changes
If what this site does with data changes, this page will be updated to match before the change goes live.
